The alarm that puts your phone to bed.
Ruru is a tiny, tired monster who lives in your phone. At your bedtime she calls. She only settles once the phone is on its charger, out of the bedroom. Then she sleeps. So do you.
ruru · has been up since 6
She calls. You plug in. Everybody sleeps.
Set a bedtime once. Stash a charger somewhere that isn't next to your bed. That's the whole setup. From then on the night goes like this.
She wakes up and calls.
Gentle. A real alarm, not a notification you can swipe away in your sleep.
Ruru is calling. Time for bed.
She calls again. Louder.
Not ready? Appease her. Three times, max. She keeps count, and she is not subtle about it.
Ruru is calling again. She wants to sleep.
Or she sleeps without you.
Push your luck past the last call and she gives up on you for the night. Streak broken. She'll remember.
Ruru is disappointed.
Put her to bed for real.
Dock the phone on that charger outside the bedroom. Ruru curls up and sleeps. So do you.
night night.
The phone is the problem. So the phone goes to bed.
Every other sleep app lives on the thing keeping you awake. Ruru's only ask is that the phone ends the night on a charger you can't reach from under the duvet.
No screen-time limits, no blocked apps, no lectures. Just a small creature who would very much like to go to sleep now, and can't until you do.
She keeps score. In chalk.
Every morning Ruru draws how the night went. Her handwriting is terrible. Her memory is not.
